Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Macha Méril, 85, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Vagabond or A Married Woman really single again?

Méril spotted alone

A fan spotted Macha Méril walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of July 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Macha back on the market?

A rep for Macha Méril was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (July 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
