Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Macy Gray, 58, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song I Try really single again?

Gray spotted alone

A fan spotted Macy Gray walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 27, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Macy back on the market?

A rep for Macy Gray was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Sunday (December 28), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
