Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Marcia Cross, 63, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Desperate Housewives or Melrose Place really single again?

Cross spotted alone

A fan spotted Marcia Cross walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 23, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Marcia back on the market?

A rep for Marcia Cross was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (December 24), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
