It has been exactly 10 long years since Marco Perrin died in Issy-les-Moulineaux on February 17, 2014 at the age of 86. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation.

Today, fans of Marco Perrin (Going Places, Army of Shadows, ...) along with the rest of the film industry have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Perrin, a cultural icon

Born in Aix-en-Provence on May 16, 1927, Marco Perrin's career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Perrin was not just a great actor, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1974 he touched the hearts of millions as Supermarket inspector in ‘Going Places’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.

It's been 10 years since the tragic loss of Marco Perrin and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Marco Perrin is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
