Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that María Clara Alonso, 35, and her partner had split up. Is the Argentine singer really single again?

Alonso spotted alone

A fan spotted María Clara Alonso walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 8, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is María Clara back on the market?

A rep for María Clara Alonso was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Friday (January 9), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
