Is the 39-year-old tennis player officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Maria Sharapova, 39, and her partner had split up. Is the Russian tennis player really single again?

Sharapova spotted alone

A fan spotted Maria Sharapova walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of June 24, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Maria back on the market?

A rep for Maria Sharapova was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the tennis player - known for having been romantically involved with Andy Roddick, Charlie Ebersol or Adam Levine - was splitting hit the internet Thursday (June 25), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
