Is the 39-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that María Valverde, 39, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in The Borgias or The Weakness of the Bolshevik really single again?

Valverde spotted alone

A fan spotted María Valverde walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of August 24, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is María back on the market?

A rep for María Valverde was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (August 25), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
