Is the 108-year-old pianist officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Marian McPartland, 108, and her partner had split up. Is the former host of ‘Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz’ really single again?

McPartland spotted alone

A fan spotted Marian McPartland walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 6, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Marian back on the market?

A rep for Marian McPartland was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the pianist was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (April 7), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
