Born Marianne Evelyn Faithfull in London on December 29, 1946, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in British history. Faithfull was not just a great singer, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1979 she touched the hearts of millions with ‘Broken English’. Her legacy will continue to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique musical heritage.
Although Marianne Faithfull is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
