Is the 56-year-old athlete officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Marie-José Pérec, 56, and her partner had split up. Is the French athlete really single again?

Pérec spotted alone

A fan spotted Marie-José Pérec walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 12, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Marie-José back on the market?

A rep for Marie-José Pérec was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the athlete was splitting hit the internet Sunday (April 13), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
