Is the 97-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Marthe Mercadier, 97, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Good King Dagobert or Explosive honeymoon really single again?

Mercadier spotted alone

A fan spotted Marthe Mercadier walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 13, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Marthe back on the market?

A rep for Marthe Mercadier was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (March 14), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
