Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Martine Aubry, 75, and her partner had split up. Is the mayor of Lille really single again?

Aubry spotted alone

A fan spotted Martine Aubry walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 31, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Martine back on the market?

A rep for Martine Aubry was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 1), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
