Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Mary J. Blige, 53, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Be Without You or Family Affair really single again?

Blige spotted alone

A fan spotted Mary J. Blige walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 21, 2024. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Mary J. back on the market?

A rep for Mary J. Blige was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Monday (April 22), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
