Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Mazarine Pingeot, 51, and her partner had split up. Is the former French President Francois Mitterrand's daughter really single again?

Pingeot spotted alone

A fan spotted Mazarine Pingeot walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 17, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Mazarine back on the market?

A rep for Mazarine Pingeot was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the author was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (March 18), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
