Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that White Stripes drummer Meg White, 51, and her partner had split up. Is the American drummer really single again?

White spotted alone

A fan spotted Meg White walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 24, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Meg back on the market?

A rep for Meg White was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the drummer - known for having been romantically involved with Jack White - was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (February 25), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
