Is the 55-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Melissa McCarthy, 55, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Ghostbusters or Bridesmaids really single again?

McCarthy spotted alone

A fan spotted Melissa McCarthy walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 13, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Melissa back on the market?

A rep for Melissa McCarthy was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (January 14), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
