It has been exactly 17 long years since The King of Pop Michael Jackson died in Los Angeles on June 25, 2009 at the age of 50. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed singers of his generation.

Born Michael Joseph Jackson in Gary on August 29, 1958, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Jackson was not just a great singer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1983 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘Billie Jean’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.
It's been 17 years since the tragic loss of Michael Jackson and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Michael Jackson is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
