Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Michelle Bachelet, 74, and her partner had split up. Is the former Chilean President really single again?

Bachelet spotted alone

A fan spotted Michelle Bachelet walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 21, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Michelle back on the market?

A rep for Michelle Bachelet was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Sunday (March 22), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
