Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Michelle Gomez, 59, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Bad Education, Green Wing or Doctor Who really single again?

Gomez spotted alone

A fan spotted Michelle Gomez walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 11, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Michelle back on the market?

A rep for Michelle Gomez was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 12), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
