Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Mickey Sumner, 42, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her role in Frances Ha really single again?

Sumner spotted alone

A fan spotted Mickey Sumner walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of August 4, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Mickey back on the market?

A rep for Mickey Sumner was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (August 5), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
