Remembering Mike Nichols on the 11st Anniversary of his death

It has been exactly 11 long years since Mike Nichols died in New York on November 19, 2014 at the age of 83. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed directors of his generation.

Born Michael Igor Peschkowsky in Berlin on November 6, 1931, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Nichols was not just a great director, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
