Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Mimie Mathy, 68, and her partner had split up. Is the comedienne best known for her role on the television series Josephine, Guardian Angel really single again?

Mathy spotted alone

A fan spotted Mimie Mathy walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 23, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Mimie back on the market?

A rep for Mimie Mathy was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the comedienne was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (February 24), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
