Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Mischa Barton, 39, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in The Beautiful Life or The O.C. really single again?

Barton spotted alone

A fan spotted Mischa Barton walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 10, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Mischa back on the market?

A rep for Mischa Barton was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Josh Hartnett - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 11), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
