It has been exactly one year since Mylène Demongeot died in Paris on December 1, 2022 at the age of 87. As a number of online tributes attest, she was one of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation.

Demongeot, a cultural icon
Born Marie-Hélène Demongeot in Nice on September 29, 1935, her career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in French history. Demongeot was not just a great actress, she was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
In 1964 she touched the hearts of millions as Hélène Gurn in ‘Fantomas’. Her legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering her unique heritage.
It's been one year since the tragic loss of Mylène Demongeot and her personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Mylène Demongeot is no longer physically here, her presence is more powerful than ever. She left a void that has yet to be filled.
