Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Naomi Osaka, 28, and her partner had split up. Is the Japanese tennis player really single again?

Osaka spotted alone

A fan spotted Naomi Osaka walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of July 22, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Naomi back on the market?

A rep for Naomi Osaka was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the tennis player was splitting hit the internet Thursday (July 23), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
