Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Natsumi Abe, 45, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like Takaramono or 22 Sai no Watashi really single again?

Abe spotted alone

A fan spotted Natsumi Abe walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of October 16, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Natsumi back on the market?

A rep for Natsumi Abe was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Saturday (October 17), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
