Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Nicki Minaj, 43, and her partner had split up. Is the rapper best known for her album Pink Friday really single again?

Minaj spotted alone

A fan spotted Nicki Minaj walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 6, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Nicki back on the market?

A rep for Nicki Minaj was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the rapper was splitting hit the internet Wednesday (January 7), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
