Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Nina Dobrev, 37, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in The Vampire Diaries or Let's Be Cops really single again?

Dobrev spotted alone
A fan spotted Nina Dobrev walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Nina back on the market?
A rep for Nina Dobrev was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Ian Somerhalder or Derek Hough - was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
