Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Nina Hagen, 70, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for hit songs like New York/N.Y., African Reggae or Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen really single again?

Hagen spotted alone

A fan spotted Nina Hagen walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Nina back on the market?

A rep for Nina Hagen was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
