Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Penny Oleksiak, 25, and her partner had split up. Is the Canadian athlete really single again?

Oleksiak spotted alone

A fan spotted Penny Oleksiak walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 22, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Penny back on the market?

A rep for Penny Oleksiak was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the athlete was splitting hit the internet Monday (March 23), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
