It has been exactly 10 long years since Everly Brothers singer Phil Everly died in Burbank on January 3, 2014 at the age of 74. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed singers of his generation.

Today, fans of Phil Everly along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Everly, a cultural icon

Born Phillip Everly in Chicago on January 19, 1939, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Everly was not just a great singer, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.

It's been 10 years since the tragic loss of Phil Everly and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Phil Everly is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
