Is the 82-year-old monarch officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Queen Silvia of Sweden, 82, and her partner had split up. Is the Swedish monarch really single again?

Queen Silvia of Sweden spotted alone

A fan spotted Queen Silvia of Sweden walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 15, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Silvia back on the market?

A rep for Queen Silvia of Sweden was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the monarch was splitting hit the internet Monday (March 16), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
