Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Rachel Maddow, 52, and her partner had split up. Is the American journalist really single again?

Maddow spotted alone

A fan spotted Rachel Maddow walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 21, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Rachel back on the market?

A rep for Rachel Maddow was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Sunday (March 22), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
