It has been exactly 12 long years since ‘Fahrenheit 451’ author Ray Bradbury died in Los Angeles on June 5, 2012 at the age of 91. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed authors of his generation.
Today, fans of Ray Bradbury along with the rest of the world have been remembering the iconic man he was.
Bradbury, a cultural icon
Born Ray Douglas Bradbury in Waukegan on August 22, 1920, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Bradbury was not just a great author, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.
His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique heritage.
It's been 12 years since the tragic loss of Ray Bradbury and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Ray Bradbury is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
