Is the 56-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Renée Zellweger, 56, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Bridget Jones' Diary or Jerry Maguire really single again?

Zellweger spotted alone

A fan spotted Renée Zellweger walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 8, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Renée back on the market?

A rep for Renée Zellweger was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Kenny Chesney - was splitting hit the internet Friday (January 9), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
