Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Rinko Kikuchi, 44, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Pacific Rim or Babel really single again?

Kikuchi spotted alone

A fan spotted Rinko Kikuchi walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 10, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Rinko back on the market?

A rep for Rinko Kikuchi was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (March 11), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
