Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Rita Marley, 77, and her partner had split up. Is the Jamaican singer really single again?

Marley spotted alone

A fan spotted Rita Marley walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of May 6, 2024. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Rita back on the market?

A rep for Rita Marley was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer - known for having been romantically involved with Bob Marley - was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (May 7), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
