Is the former First lady officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Rosalynn Carter, 98, and her partner had split up. Is the former First lady really single again?

Carter spotted alone

A fan spotted Rosalynn Carter walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 23, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Rosalynn back on the market?

A rep for Rosalynn Carter was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (February 24), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
