Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Sarah Michelle Gellar, 48, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or I Know What You Did Last Summer really single again?

Gellar spotted alone

A fan spotted Sarah Michelle Gellar walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 22, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Sarah Michelle back on the market?

A rep for Sarah Michelle Gellar was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Monday (February 23), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
