Is the 44-year-old tennis player officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Serena Williams, 44, and her partner had split up. Is the American tennis player really single again?

Williams spotted alone

A fan spotted Serena Williams walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Serena back on the market?

A rep for Serena Williams was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the tennis player was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
