Is the 89-year-old singer officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Shirley Bassey, 89, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for recording the theme song to Diamonds Are Forever or Goldfinger really single again?

Bassey spotted alone

A fan spotted Shirley Bassey walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Shirley back on the market?

A rep for Shirley Bassey was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Sunday (March 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
