Is the 91-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Shirley MacLaine, 91, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Terms of Endearment or The Apartment really single again?

MacLaine spotted alone

A fan spotted Shirley MacLaine walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 9, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Shirley back on the market?

A rep for Shirley MacLaine was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Saturday (January 10), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
