Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Sofia Coppola, 54, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for The Beguiled, Somewhere, Marie Antoinette or Lost in Translation really single again?

Coppola spotted alone

A fan spotted Sofia Coppola walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of December 31, 2025. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Sofia back on the market?

A rep for Sofia Coppola was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Quentin Tarantino - was splitting hit the internet Thursday (January 1), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
