Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Sônia Braga, 75, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Kiss of the Spider Woman or Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands really single again?

Braga spotted alone

A fan spotted Sônia Braga walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of April 13, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Sônia back on the market?

A rep for Sônia Braga was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress was splitting hit the internet Tuesday (April 14), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
