Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Sonia Gandhi, 79, and her partner had split up. Is the Congress President really single again?

Gandhi spotted alone
A fan spotted Sonia Gandhi walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of February 4, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”
Is Sonia back on the market?
A rep for Sonia Gandhi was not immediately available for comment.
Truth or rumor, when news that the politician was splitting hit the internet Thursday (February 5), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
