Is the 79-year-old actress officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Susan Sarandon, 79, and her partner had split up. Is the actress best known for her roles in Dead Man Walking, Thelma & Louise or The Rocky Horror Picture Show really single again?

Sarandon spotted alone

A fan spotted Susan Sarandon walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of January 11, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Susan back on the market?

A rep for Susan Sarandon was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the actress - known for having been romantically involved with Tim Robbins - was splitting hit the internet Monday (January 12), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
