Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Toni Basil, 81, and her partner had split up. Is the singer best known for her hit song Mickey really single again?

Basil spotted alone

A fan spotted Toni Basil walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of November 3, 2024. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Toni back on the market?

A rep for Toni Basil was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the singer was splitting hit the internet Monday (November 4), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
