It has been exactly 28 long years since Tupac died in Las Vegas on September 13, 1996 at the age of 25. As a number of online tributes attest, he was one of the most acclaimed rappers of his generation.

Today, fans of Tupac (California Love, ...) along with the rest of the music world have been remembering the iconic man he was.

Tupac, a cultural icon

Born Tupac Shakur in New York on June 16, 1971, his career spanned an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Tupac was not just a great rapper, he was an icon, an all-around inspiration to everyone.

In 1995 he touched the hearts of millions with ‘California Love’. His legacy continues to grow as new generations of fans are discovering his unique musical heritage.

It's been 28 years since the tragic loss of Tupac and his personality still resonate strongly within us all. Although Tupac is no longer physically here, his presence is more powerful than ever. He left a void that has yet to be filled.
