Popular model-actress Tyra Banks (The Tyra Banks Show, ...) has always liked to keep a bit of herself hidden from view. At 51st birthday, she remains a woman of many facets.

Banks, a cultural icon

Born Tyra Lynne Banks in Los Angeles on December 4, 1973, her career spans an arc over many different eras and tastes in American history. Banks' not just a great model, she's an inspiration, an icon and a successful business woman. At this point in her career, there seems to be little Tyra hasn't done.
