Is the 61-year-old journalist officially back on the market?

Are celebrities more likely to divorce or break up? Earlier this week news reports surfaced that Valérie Payet, 61, and her partner had split up. Is the journalist best known as cast member of Nulle Part Ailleurs really single again?

Payet spotted alone

A fan spotted Valérie Payet walking alone, probably coming back from picking up her mail at the end of her several mile long driveway, on the afternoon of March 14, 2026. Was she all alone? “Definitely yes,” says the fan, adding that “She was wearing a large sweater and looked really cute!”

Is Valérie back on the market?

A rep for Valérie Payet was not immediately available for comment.

Truth or rumor, when news that the journalist was splitting hit the internet Sunday (March 15), Twitter immediately exploded with pithy commentary. It seems everyone had an opinion on the matter:
